Saturday Snapshot- 29-10-16

Hi everyone!
Today I am posting another Saturday Snapshot on some of the traditions that are unique only to Kerala- So lets get right to it...

A dancer preparing for his role in a play using the dance, drama form Kathakali
With the extravagant costume, this dancer has been portrayed as the villain
I have observed, that the uses of facial expressions is crucial to convey the message...
This is traditional fighting technique- Kalaripayattu. It has been said to be the mother of kung fu and karate!
This is one weapon which I found very interesting- It is a flexible metal- Much like a whip, however due to the metal it is made of, it can also be used as a sword! Strange...

So this brings the end of my Saturday Snapshot- Hope you had fun watching and had a great time too! Do share your Saturday Snapshot as well Here!
Thanks, and have a great weekend!

Saturday Snapshot- 22-10-16

Hey people! How are you doing today?
It has been a really, really long time- almost two months now- but I have quite a lot to share!...and am going to keep filling you in, gradually...

Todays Saturday Snapshot is going to be a very special one... About all the animals and birds I saw on my trip to Kerala! From what I have observed... Kerala has a very diverse ecosystem- with plenty of Hill stations and high, jagged mountains to green low lying area's and coastlines... So let's take a look!

An unexpected visitor...

The first of many, this was a little friend I made in my aunt's backyard!

A herd of cows... I wonder how they thrive here, in a hill station!
My first glimpse at the loch ness monster!
Well.... it could have fooled me! There were thousands of birds all over- it really was a sight to see...

A whistling bird- It tweeted it's sweet little song all through dawn... This is it's picture right here!
We don't see a lot of these where I live....

Okay guys, I am going to be concluding my Saturday Snapshot... Hope you had a good time and enjoy your weekend!

Saturday Snapshot... What is it?

Hey guys!
Many readers have wondered and asked me about one of the meme's I follow, so this post is going to solely discuss my frequently posted- "Saturday Snaphot"!

The Saturday Snaphot, is meme hosted by West Metro Mommy Reads. It challenges bloggers to put up a few pictures they (of their family/friends or their visits) have clicked, every Saturday. It's basically to share our travels with our readers... which are you guys!

Your snapshot can include just about anything- some of your travels, pictures of your family or even a beautiful sunset! Something you want to share with others... and you are ready to go!

Have fun sharing snapshots, and have a great day!

WWW Wednesday - 24/08/2016

Hey guys! Hope you are enjoying a good week!
Today I am going to be starting with a new meme- WWW Wednesday... This was hosted by "Should Be Writing".
To join this meme, all you need to do is write a post on what you are currently reading, what you recently finished reading, and what you think you are going to read next.

I am recently started with "Harry Potter and the cursed child", the eighth edition to magical world's franchise. I am enjoying a dip into this world again, but the plot is going completely the other way! I am not going to write much on the post today,  but I would be writing a review sometime this week.

I recently finished the book- "The Giver", by Lois Lowry. I can't say I loved the book, but I really did like the concept behind the book. It was something different, it was something new, it was like a change. This fictional world-set into the future did manage to move me, and the realization of how precious our small little world is, dawned... But more so, the importance of memories really shined out. Now you all know that I don't really like to give away the plot, or the characters, so I am not going to that, but I would really love to dedicate a small review on it later. I do recommend this book for those who have just started reading, or can't find a right pick and are seeking a change!

Next, I think I would read "The Book Thief" by Markus Zusak. I have heard from a lot of people that it is a great book- and I would really love it (and it has been on my TBR list forever)! So I think I am going to give it a go! You may catch a few reviews coming next week, so stay tuned!

Have a good day!

Teaser Tuesday- 23-08-16

Hello guys! Today I am starting with another meme... Teaser Tuesday! Teaser Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by "Books and a Beat". Anyone can play along! If you want to join, all you have to do is grab your current read. Then open to a random page, and share two "teaser" sentences from that page. Make sure you don't give away too much- You don't want to spoil the book for others! Then you can share the title & author of your book too, so that other Teaser Tuesday participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

So today I am going to be sharing a quote from the all time bestseller series- Harry Potter!

"Perfection is beyond the reach of humankind, beyond the reach of magic. In every shining moment of happiness is a drop of poison: the knowledge that pain will come again. Be honest to those you love, show your pain. To suffer is as human as to breathe"
-Albus Dumbledore, Harry potter and the cursed child

Do share a quote or two from your current read, and have a good day!

Harry Potter and the cursed child- My first impression

Hey guys! How are you?
Today I finally got the novel- Harry Potter and the cursed child! However- to be honest- it was like a bomb completely blowing up on my face...
My advice to you is that I wouldn't recommend buying this book. Don't have high standards because- It's not a novel!
Originally a play- this book just gives the dialogues and the different scenes of the play!
To me- It looks exactly like the photocopy of the script!

However, I don't want to be too pessimistic, as I havn't read the book yet- But if you ask me, I think you may enjoy the book far better if your friend lends it to you, or you borrow it from your local library...

I would definitely be posting a review later on, after I finish reading the book. Have a good day!

Hey guys! Another mini trip to Kerala for you again! In this post, I am going to be showing you one of the Eco-shops I had visited! Enjoy!

A beautiful flower...
A cactus! How strange for it to be surviving in the rainforest climate!
The flower Garden! I didn't see many flower's though, because they usually bloom in summer's!
I didn't know these existed... Wonder if it's true...
The infamous Bonsai tree!
Roses are red, violets are blue, a pretty little heart, made just for you!

The Vadakkunnathan temple I had mentioned in my last post. This is how it looks from the outside
These tree's were part of a rubber plantation. They all are leaning towards the sun's direction!
A banana flower!

On the way up to a Hillstation- Munnar
A visibility of Zero! We had no idea whatsoever about the road ahead of us... What an adventure it was, while finding our way to the Hotel!

Saturday Snapshot- 23-07-16

Hey guys! This is my first Saturday Snapshot after a really long time...
I am starting a mini-series for my trip to Southern India, Kerala!

A thin sheet of clouds...

A small dam in the hills! It looks like a road cutting through 2 different ecosystems...
A beautiful lake in the calm of the day...
Various huts like these, were placed in the Vadakkunathan temple. It's 1000 years old! It's a classic example of Kerala's style of architecture. There were many mural's inside as well depicting the stories of an Indian epic- Mahabharata. It has also been declared as the National Monument of India!
A beautiful waterfall cutting through the mountain...

Enjoy Your weekend!

My new book- It all started with a flashback
